Access student wins place at Cambridge University
Jannah Abduldayem, 25, won a place at Cambridge University after gaining distinctions in her Access to Humanities course at CRC.
“I have loved learning in England. It is completely different to Syria where everything is about learning things off by heart. I have learned so much here at CRC and it has prepared me for university so well.
“I have never really been seen as clever, because of the teaching methods in Syria but to know I am clever enough to get into Cambridge is amazing. I wanted to be a teacher but I just don’t know now. Cambridge opens up lots of opportunities.
“I hadn’t thought of applying to Cambridge but my tutor said you have nothing to lose. I didn’t expect to get in. It was great.”
