This qualification recognises the rapid growth of Social Media as a business tool and has been developed to support learners working in this environment. The pathway for Marketing and Technical aspects of Social Media will recognise the skills and knowledge required by a learner to be effective in their chosen career. This programme will allow candidates to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the Social Media industry. Effective use of social media is now an established marketing tool, and could help businesses thrive. These qualifications will help you understand the impact of social media on business and help you to use a range of techniques and tools in marketing campaigns.
Apprenticeships are made up of framework of qualifications and training based on testing competency and developing practical, occupational and transferable skills.
City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Social Media for Business
• Principles of Social Media within a business
• Principles of keywords and optimisation
• Social Networking Management for a business
• Using collaborative technologies
• Maths Level 2, English Level 2 and ICT Level 2
• Employment Rights and Responsibilities workbook
• Personal Learning and Thinking Skills
This apprenticeship takes 18 months to complete and has a flexible start date. There is no upper age limit for apprenticeships making it a course ideal for both those looking to start a career in a particular sector or those who are already employed and looking to get qualifications that recognise their experience and gives them opportunity to progress further in their career.
Fully-funded for 16-18 year olds (no fees); fully-funded for 19-23 years olds employed in a company with 1-249 employees; otherwise partially-funded (employer fees apply).
Progression & Career Opportunities
This programme is for those working in or looking to progress into a career in the following job roles: Social Media Assistant, Social Media Consultant, Social Media Analyst, Digital Account Assistant, Digital Marketing Assistant, Digital Communications Officer, Community Engagement Officer. Depending on job role, the learner may consider progressing onto a higher level management qualification on completion.
There are no formal entry requirements but the candidate must be in a job role that supports the completion of the framework.

We want you to achieve to the very best of your ability at CRC. To make this happen we offer both learning and personal support by specialist staff tailored to meet your specific needs.
These qualifications are delivered completely in the workplace through regular assessor visits. Learners will be assessed in the workplace using a variety of methods including short answer exams, reports and practicals.
