Cambridge Regional College - Centre of Vocational Excellence

Early Years, Playwork & Education Foundation Degree

Do you want to further your career in childcare?

Interested in developing your future working with children, opening your own nursery, supporting families or teaching?

A Foundation Degree in Early Years, Playwork & Education at Cambridge Regional College could lead to specialist qualifications and expertise in the workplace.

This is a three-year part-time course and students attend college one day a week. Candidates need a Level 3, or equivalent, qualification in Childcare to enter the course and will usually be mature with current and relevant experience.

The Foundation Degree, awarded by Anglia Ruskin University, can be used as a stepping stone to EYTS (Early Years Teacher Status) or the BA in Early Childhood Studies.

You’ll be taught by specialists in the sector who are experts in their field. The vocational element requires you to be working in a Childcare setting at least two days a week, supported by a mentor.

Tuition fees are £3,995 per year.  You can apply for a student loan to cover the cost.
