CRC College Contract Buses
We run our own contract bus service for our full-time students at both our Cambridge and Huntingdon campuses. The service picks up from different towns and villages in Cambridgeshire, Huntingdon, Essex, Hertfordshire and Suffolk. Click here for the relevant campus timetable for 2018/19:
All routes are timed to arrive at the College prior to 08:45 hours and depart at 16:20 hours after lessons finish*. The bus service will operate during term time only.
*The college day is between the times of 09:00 and 16:10, however some exceptions do exist. Learners should ensure they have checked with their course tutor with regards to any additional teaching and learning commitments that fall outside of these hours.
The cost of the college bus pass is £495.00 for the 2018/19 academic year. This can either be paid in full or by deposit and up to 6 instalments. (A deposit and completed Direct Debit form is required.)
For those on Apprenticeship schemes only attending one day per week, the cost is £165.00 payable in full in advance.
Public Bus Services
If you are unable to use the college’s Contract Buses because you do not live near one of the college bus routes, you could be eligible for assistance with public bus transport costs. However, in order to qualify for this you need to live more than 3 miles from the college. If you live in Cambridgeshire, please contact Cambridgeshire County Council Transport Team on 0345 045 5208. The Cambridgeshire Guided Busway runs between both campuses with stops next to each. This provides a direct route to the college from Huntingdon and St.Ives, Cambridge Railway Station and Trumpington Park & Ride. There are two Busway stops immediately next to the Cambridge Campus: ‘Science Park/Cambridge Regional College’ and ‘Orchard Park East’. Scholar Train Season tickets are available from the two train operating companies that provide trains to Cambridge. If you live in Cambridgeshire, you could be eligible for assistance with train costs. Cambridge North station is a 15 to 20 mins walk from the Cambridge Campus. Trains to Cambridge North take:

The college runs a free bus to and from Cambridge North Station (starting September 2018)
Huntingdon station is a 20 to 25 mins walk from the Huntingdon Campus. We do run a bus free bus to and from the station. Trains to Huntingdon station take:

37 mins from Stamford
28 mins from Hitchin
34 mins from Stevenage
We have designated parking spaces for students. There is a student car parking charge of £2 per visit; pre-payment cards are available at a discounted price.
We actively encourage our students and staff to choose a green method of transport when travelling to college. We have plenty of cycle racks available including covered spaces.
